Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced Introduces No-HUD Feature for Immersive Gameplay
Ubisoft has unveiled a new no-HUD feature for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced ahead of the remake’s July 2026 release.
Ubisoft has revealed new details about Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, including a no-HUD feature designed to create a more immersive gameplay experience. The remake of the 2013 title “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” is scheduled to launch on July 9, 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The publisher showcased the feature in a newly released gameplay clip, demonstrating how players can disable the user interface with a single button press. Ubisoft said the option was added in response to long-standing community requests for a cleaner and more cinematic experience in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
Graphics and Combat System Reworked
Alongside visual upgrades, Ubisoft confirmed that the remake includes major gameplay improvements. According to the developer, the combat system has been redesigned to make encounters more strategic compared to the original release, where battles could sometimes feel repetitive.
The updated combat places greater emphasis on takedowns, allowing players to weaken enemies before finishing them with dedicated finishing moves. Creative Director Paul Fu said the remake was built around deliberate and systematic combat mechanics.
“At its core, Resynced is an action-adventure game, and combat is designed to be systematic and intentional. Every move has an advantage, a disadvantage and a specific role,” Fu said.
Parkour Improvements and New Content
Ubisoft also updated the parkour mechanics in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. One of the key additions allows players to continue sprinting seamlessly after jumps and landings, which the studio said should improve movement fluidity throughout the game.
Actor Matt Ryan, who returns as Edward Kenway, recently confirmed that the remake will also include new missions and story sequences. Ubisoft said the additional content was created to provide meaningful value rather than filler material.
Some of the new content was written by original “Black Flag” writer Darby McDevitt, according to the publisher.
Editions and Pricing
Ubisoft will release the remake in multiple editions through the PlayStation Store. The Standard Edition is priced at 59.99 euros and includes the “Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack” as a pre-order bonus.
The Digital Deluxe Edition will cost 69.99 euros and includes additional content such as the Master Assassin character pack.
